Today, many people want to improve their French without disrupting their daily lives. Whether they are working professionals, students with irregular schedules, or expatriates seeking linguistic integration, they all share a common need: to learn French in a flexible and effective way.
The Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne (CCFS) has designed an evening course program specifically for this audience. In person in Paris or online, these courses are for adults of all levels, from complete beginner (A1) to advanced learner (C1).
Two formats to choose from: in-person or online
The semester-long evening course in person
Perfectly suited for people residing in Paris or the surrounding area, this in-person format offers:
- Two possible start dates per year, in September and January, according to the academic calendar available in the official brochure.
- A 12-week course, comprising 72 hours of instruction, or 6 hours per week.
- Classes take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 7 pm to 9 pm, to suit daytime schedules.
- Each session covers various aspects of the language: grammar, conjugation, spelling, vocabulary, analysis of literary texts, written and oral expression.
- This sustained but balanced pace allows for regular, structured, and in-depth learning over the course of a semester.
Monthly online evening course
Designed for those who live outside of Paris or who are looking for a fully remote solution, this online format offers:
- In-depth work on the fundamentals of the French language: grammar, conjugation, spelling, vocabulary, and comprehension of literary texts.
- Structured consolidation of linguistic skills, often learned intuitively or informally.
- Overall development of the five key language skills: oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression, and interaction.
- Accessible to all levels (beginner, intermediate, or advanced), the monthly online course allows learners to progress at their own pace, in an interactive and stimulating environment, while benefiting from rigorous educational support.
