Taking intensive French courses with the summer program offers many advantages for learners of the French language, whether they are beginners or already initiated. Lasting one month, this summer course is designed to meet the specific needs of students and help them quickly achieve their goals through a high volume of intensive course hours.
Summer courses at CCFS promote the acquisition of new linguistic foundations, including an in-depth exploration of grammar, vocabulary, and conjugation. These courses provide a solid foundation, allowing students to express themselves confidently orally and in writing. Summer courses are also designed to strengthen and refine existing language skills. Students have the opportunity to work on the five essential language skills: speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and interacting. General and intensive French courses place a strong emphasis on improving oral and written comprehension. Students practice listening to a variety of content in French, from conversations to authentic audio recordings. Similarly, reading diverse texts helps to refine their written comprehension. The goal is to make students more comfortable when communicating in French. Summer courses aim to strengthen students’ ability to express themselves fluently in French through conversation practice, discussions on various topics, and writing texts. Students learn to express themselves coherently and to convey their ideas with ease. In addition, these courses address topics relevant to higher education, which is particularly beneficial for international students preparing for their future studies in France.
Monthly summer courses are therefore a valuable opportunity for learners of all levels. They offer a solid foundation for beginners and strengthen the skills of intermediate and advanced students. These courses are designed to improve French proficiency at all levels, both orally and in writing, while exploring French culture. For those looking to perfect their French, prepare for higher education in France, or simply have an enriching summer experience, summer French courses are an option to consider.
Program Information:
Students’ attention is drawn to the significant volume of hours (25 hours per week over 1 month). This course therefore requires a high level of availability and strong commitment, like all intensive programs.
Students wishing to deepen their written and oral skills with a less demanding weekly pace can opt for the following monthly summer general French courses:
- Monthly Summer General French Course E010 (50 hours over 4 weeks)
- Monthly Summer General French and French Civilization Course E020 (80 hours over 4 weeks)
Course Objectives
- Acquire new linguistic foundations (grammar – vocabulary – conjugation) in order to be able to express oneself orally and in writing.
- Reinforce knowledge through in-depth work on the five skills (speaking, understanding, reading, writing, interacting).
- Improve oral and written comprehension, as well as the ability to express oneself fluently in French.

The monthly summer general French course is offered in June, July or August according to the reference calendar available in the downloadable brochure.
