Summer courses at the Cours de Civilisation Français de la Sorbonne promote a quick acquisition of new linguistic skills including an in-depth exploration of grammar, vocabulary and conjugation. These courses provide a solid foundation, allowing students to express themselves with confidence orally and in writing. Summer courses are also designed to strengthen and perfect existing language skills. Students have the opportunity to work on the five essential language skills: speaking, understanding, reading, writing and interacting. General and intensive French courses place a strong emphasis on improving oral and written comprehension: students practice listening to a variety of content in French, from conversations to authentic audio recordings, and read diverse texts to refine their written comprehension. The main goal is to make students more comfortable when communicating in French. Summer courses aim to strengthen students’ ability to express themselves fluently in French through conversation training, discussions on various topics and writing texts. Students learn to express themselves coherently and convey their ideas with ease. In addition to these linguistic aspects, the summer courses offered by the CCFS allow students to explore subjects related to French culture and society. Students discover the richness of French cultural heritage, from traditions to the arts, including history. This program covers topics relevant to higher education, which is particularly beneficial for international students preparing for their future studies in France.

General and intensive French courses in summer are therefore a valuable opportunity for learners of all levels. They provide a solid foundation for beginners and build skills for intermediate and advanced students. These courses are designed to improve French proficiency at all levels, both oral and written, while exploring French culture. For those looking to improve their French, prepare for higher education in France, or simply enjoy an enriching summer experience, summer French courses are definitely an option to consider.
