The TCF “all audiences” on computer may include an additional test dedicated to written expression: lasting 60 minutes, it gives the candidate additional linguistic skills that will enhance his mastery over French language. The TCF on computer addresses any person aged 16 or over whose mother tongue is not French and who wishes, for academic (students) professional (employees or future employees, etc.) or personal purposes, to officially justify their level in French language.

This TCF is made up of 3 compulsory tests, presented in the form of multiple-choice questions (MCQ), with a complementary test “Written Expression”:

  • Oral comprehension: Collective test: 29 multiple choice questions (4 answer choices, only one correct answer, duration 25 minutes)
  • Mastery of language structures: Collective test: 18 multiple choice questions (4 answer choices, only one correct answer, duration 15 minutes)
  • Written comprehension: Collective test: 29 multiple choice questions (4 answer choices, only one correct answer; duration 45 minutes)
    • Written expression: Collective test: 3 exercises (duration 60 minutes)

Just like the classic TCF, the TCF with written tests is valid for two years and allows candidates to attest to a level in French ranging from A1 (beginner) to C 2 (independent user)

The Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne (CCFS), as an approved exam center, give non-French-speaking candidates a valuable opportunity to take the TCF as completed by the written test. Candidates can benefit from the prestigious academic environment of the Sorbonne, as well as the educational expertise of this renowned institution to prepare for the TCF written tests with complete confidence. The availability of teaching teams and their efficiency – which earned the institution the FLE quality label – ease the preparation and success of all candidates. Taking the TCF + written tests with the CCFS guarantees a high-quality experience and international recognition of the candidate’s French skills.
