Social Security and Mutual Insurance:

Every foreign student shall be affiliated to Social Security when staying more than three months on the French territory.

Two Mutuals are at your disposal to register your annual affiliation and offer your complementary services:

Conditions required to benefit of them:

  • be from 18 to 28 years old

 

Documents necessary to be brought for registration CCFS student card:

  • Passport
  • Resident Permit (or any equivalent permit)
  • A copy of your birth act in French, English, Spanish or Italian.
  • A RIB (Identity bank)
  • €200 to pay the registration fees for the year (credit card or check payable to the Fondation Robert de Sorbon. The issuer of the check may be another person that you

If you already have been affiliated to French Social Security, you also have to bring your older card or document bearing your affiliation number.

The students who benefit a grant from French govemment must inform us. In this case, they have no rights to pay at all.

 

Are dispensed of affiliation:

European Union students, possessing either E 106, E111, E112 or E128 card valid and presenting at our desks the European card of European illness Insurance.

Students who have a job (at least 120h per trimester without any interruption during the whole year) affiliated by their employer.

Students who already have a equivalent contract with a private company.

 

For students over 28 years old:

If you are over 28 years old, you must have an individual insurance. Consult the private medical insurance company in your residential district. You can also contact the LMDE or SMEREP.

You can also benefit from the CMU (universal medical coverage). This medical coverage is insured for free by the state if you:

  • meet the conditions of residency in French territory (stable and regular domicile in France for at least 3 months),
  • meet certain financial conditions.
